Vintage 6.5" Japanese Brass Teapot Trivet, Double Happiness Asian Riser, Japan Mark

This vintage solid brass openwork teapot trivet / hot plate riser is beautifully detailed with traditional Asian decorative elements. The center features a prominent pierced Chinese "Double Happiness" (Shuangxi) symbol, making it a perfect accent piece for Chinoiserie, mid-century modern, or grandmillennial home decor.

Measuring 6.5 inches in diameter and standing 0.75 inches tall, it is sized perfectly to sit beneath a hot tea kettle, a small teapot, or to elevate a small potted plant on a tabletop. The top surface displays highly detailed chiseled or etched floral patterns surrounded by a scalloped, pierced frame.

The underside is stamped with an incised "JAPAN" maker's mark, identifying it as an authentic mid-century Japanese export piece.

Condition: Good vintage condition with a beautiful, authentic aged patina. Displays minor surface wear, pitting from the sand-casting manufacturing process, natural oxidation, and light tarnish in the recessed areas consistent with age and previous use.
