Vintage Hand-Painted Wooden Trinket Box with Aged Craquelure Interior

Charming vintage hand-painted wooden trinket box featuring folk art styling. The exterior is decorated with a detailed red, pink, gold, and black floral pattern running along the base and lid, resting on four small wooden feet.

The highlight of the piece is its interior. Opening the lid reveals a beautifully aged, crackled yellow finish (natural craquelure patina) accented by delicately hand-painted miniature gold flower sprigs. The style and interior resemble traditional 19th century Kashmiri handicrafts. Originally purchased in Oman or Saudi Arabia, but probably made in India. Made circa early 20th century.
