Vintage Mid-Century Italian Ceramic Chamberstick

I love this gorgeous, vintage mid-century modern Italian studio art pottery candle holder (often referred to as a night watchman or chamberstick). 

This striking piece features a beautiful, highly textured reactive drip glaze that blends vibrant turquoise-green tones with earthy terracotta accents. The hooded shield design was historically crafted to protect candle flames from drafts while casting light forward, and it has a beautiful, rustic pie-crust ruffle trim along the rim.

The unglazed red clay base is hand-marked with the original workshop prefix "H.54" alongside a stylized cursive "Italy" signature.
